Reese Witherspoon pled no contest in an Atlanta court Thursday for mouthing off to the arresting officer — shown in video from a patrol car dash cam — who nabbed her husband Jim Toth for a DUI nearly two weeks ago, TMZ reports.
Toth pled guilty to the charges as well.

Witherspoon told George Stephanopoulos on ‘GMA’ Thursday morning that she and husband Jim Toth made ‘a mistake.’

The couple was arrested on April 19 when Witherspoon was charged with disorderly conduct for disobeying the police officer’s direct instructions to remain in the car.

“I think I’ve played a lawyer so many times in movies, I think I am a lawyer — and clearly I’m not a lawyer. So, I learned a lot,” says Reese Witherspoon.
She allegedly yelled “Do you know my name?” as Toth was being arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Jim Toth admitted getting behind the wheel was a bad call, particularly since he and Reese both knew he was drunk.
While the 37-year-old Academy Award-winning actress was not physically present in the courtroom, her lawyer, Bruce Morris, was and entered the plea to physical obstruction on her behalf.
Reese was order to pay a fine of $213.

Toth, however, was in court but it was determined that he will not do any time behind bars, instead he will perform 40 hours of community service and attend an alcohol education program. He was also placed on probation for 12 months.
“Consider yourself fortunate you didn’t injure your passenger [Reese] and didn’t kill anyone,” the judge told Toth.
While Toth was in court today, Witherspoon appeared on “Good Morning America” and said she and her husband took full responsibility for the ordeal and that it was a really bad judgment call for him to operate the vehicle that evening since they both knew he was drunk.
